Woodbridge Associated Student Body
Woodbridge Associated Student Body (WASB) is a collection of third through fifth graders dedicated to serving as the voice of our student body to our school, our district, and our community.
WASB provides members with unique leadership experiences and opportunities to publicly demonstrate Woodbridge’s most prized character traits: be safe, be respectful, be responsible, and be proud. Each third through fifth-grade class has two representative seats in our council. The four officer positions (Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President) are elected positions and are filled in September of every school year by fourth and fifth graders. The Presidential office can only be filled by a fifth grader.
What does WASB do?
WASB informs our student body and our community of upcoming events using student-made posters and announcements. We support events such as Spring/Fall carnivals, CAASPP state testing, Family Nights, and College/Career Week.
WASB holds several fundraisers throughout the year. This revenue is applied towards purchases that enhance the student experience at Woodbridge.
Hold Business Meetings
WASB meets bi-weekly to brainstorm fundraisers and publicity, to vote on council matters, and to review our budget.
WASB organizes and implements the Woodbridge Safety Patrol. Safety Patrol is a group of exceptional fourth and fifth graders who come to school early and leave late so that they may serve our school and community. From serving as valets at car pick up/drop off, to safely guiding students and families across crosswalks- our Patrollers make Woodbridge a friendly and safe environment for all.
